Off-campus privileges (Years 12 & 13)

In short

DPDiploma Programme — Years 12 and 13. students in Years 12 and 13 may be allowed to leave campus during free periods. They must sign out before leaving and sign in on their return, every time. Food bought off campus has to be eaten off campus. The school can withdraw the privilege.

What the privilege allows

DP students may be granted off-campus privileges, permitting them to leave the school campus when they do not have a scheduled lesson.

If students purchase food off campus, it must be consumed off campus and cannot be brought onto school grounds.

What is expected in return

Off-campus privileges come with expectations:

• Returning on time
• Maintaining good behaviour off campus
• Remaining in good standing academically, including meeting work deadlines

The school reserves the right to revoke these privileges if a student or students fail to meet these expectations. Loss of DP privileges also appears as a consequence in the discipline plan — see the progressive discipline plan.

Signing in and out

For safety and security reasons, all students who leave campus — however briefly — must sign out before leaving, and sign in upon their return.
