Students wait for instructions, then leave quietly and in an orderly way by the nearest or designated exit, and go to the Emergency Evacuation meeting points. They stay there until the Head of School and the School Safety Officer give the all clear.

What happens

When the alarm bell sounds, students wait for instructions, then everyone proceeds in a quiet and orderly fashion to the nearest or designated exit.

Students move to the designated Emergency Evacuation meeting points and remain there until an all clear, or a signal to return to the school, has been given by the Head of School and the School Safety Officer.

Students must pay immediate attention to all instructions given by their teachers in response to emergency situations.

What this means for parents

During an evacuation or drill, staff are accounting for every student. Please do not come to the school or call during one — wait for the school to make contact.
