Who to contact for what

In short

Start with your child’s class or homeroom teacher. They are the first point of contact for almost everything day-to-day. If a concern is not resolved, go to the phase coordinator, then the Head of School.

The escalation route

The Handbook sets out this order for a concern about your child:

1. The class or homeroom teacher
2. The phase coordinator
3. The Head of School

Emotional or personal support for your child	School support specialist, or the Counsellor / Pedagogue
Bullying	A teacher, the counsellor, or the Head of School
Language support, course placement, accommodations	Programme coordinator

Abbreviations

DSLDesignated Safeguarding Lead — the member of staff who leads child protection at KSIM. and DDSLDeputy Designated Safeguarding Lead — deputises for the DSL on child protection. are the safeguarding leads. HoS is the Head of School and HoSS is the Head of Student Support, Welfare & Inclusion — both appear in the progressive discipline plan.
